General framework
Decree No. 22-208 contains the rules for third-cycle training and the doctoral thesis.
- Executive Decree No. 22-208 of 5 June 2022 setting the system of studies and training leading to higher education diplomas (Official Journal No. 39 of 8 June 2022). It repeals Executive Decree No. 08-265 of 19 August 2008 and, except for certain students already in training, Executive Decree No. 98-254 of 17 August 1998

Doctorate
The applicable text depends on the year of enrolment in the third cycle: Order No. 991 for students enrolled in first year from 2022-2023; for earlier cohorts, Order No. 28 (enrolled before No. 991 was issued), No. 961 (before 9 January 2022), No. 547 (before 2 December 2020) and No. 191 (before 2 June 2016), according to Articles 51 to 55 of Order No. 991.
