UFMC Chemistry Club

About

Scientific club of the chemistry students of the Frères Mentouri University, Constantine 1, founded in 2016.

Goals and activities

• Develop a general interest in chemistry in order to reach more students.
• Instil an associative attitude within a scientific framework of scientific exchanges.
• Put the knowledge acquired to use outside the classroom.
• Encourage students' individual creativity.
• Help students better prepare for entering research and employment by working with other communities.
• Main activities: organise scientific workshops, scientific and cultural exchange meetings, discussions and training in the field of chemistry.
• Main activities: train better and adapt to new spectacular chemical experiments.
• Main activities: get used to, and gain further experience in, handling chemicals and various scientific equipment.
• Main activities: share personal experiences in chemistry and help new students integrate better into the university community.
• Main activities: organise annual events within the previously established annual programme (opening of the academic year, Knowledge Day of 16 April, Student's Day of 19 May).
• Secondary activities: educational outings.
• Secondary activities: organising scientific competitions with high-school and middle-school students.
• Secondary activities: collaboration with other clubs.
