Matter Sciences (common core)

About the department

The Matter Sciences department runs the common core of the “Matter Sciences” domain: the year shared by future chemists and physicists. At the end of this year, students move on to the second-year Chemistry pathway or Physics pathway, then to the Bachelor's degrees of the Chemistry and Physics departments.

What we teach

The common-core programme, with its teaching units and courses, is detailed in the training offer. It lays the shared foundations of chemistry and physics on which the pathways and specialisations of both departments are built.
