The latest international reports on the food situation have revealed that Algeria has made several efforts to meet its needs. In 2023, the Davos Economic Forum classified Algeria among the "leading" countries in the world in terms of food security relative to its national production. In the period from 2020 to 2022, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) ranked Algeria in the first position at the Arab and African levels, regarding the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
