Dr. Giuseppina Adiletta is currently an Assistant Professor at Sapienza University of Rome, Department of Chemical, Materials and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering.
Her main research interests focus on novel technologies for food preservation and safety, particularly on the study of shelf-life extension of fresh, semi-dried, and dried products, the development of innovative eco-compatible packaging (such as biodegradable films, edible films, and edible coatings tailored to different food matrices), and the application of emerging non-thermal technologies, such as cold plasma, with the potential to enhance the safety and storability of fresh and processed foods, both with and without packaging.
Dr. Adiletta is the author of more than 50 papers published in indexed scientific journals, with an H-index of 23 and 1,417 citations (Scopus).
