Mounira Azouz is an Agri-food scientist. She started research activities by working at the national research institute of agriculture (INRAA) in Algeria. She completed two master degrees: in food science and in Bio-engineering. She is Phd candidate working on durum wheat quality at the international center for agricultural research in the dry areas (ICARDA). She has an expertise in Human nutrition, food quality, food safety and agricultural science. Since 2012, Mounira is a project coordinator under an international cooperation, regional African and Euro-Mediterranean. She is supervising master students and training professionals using a safe nuclear technique and relative technologies in detecting hazards and contaminants in food, feed and beverages. She joined the national “Contaminants expert club”.
She represented Algeria, as a panelist among experts, officials and policymakers at the ministerial conference on nuclear science, technology and applications, in Vienna November 2024.
