About The VBRRB’23

International Seminar VBRRB’23 The first international seminar on the Valorization of Biotechnological Research Results by Bioindustries .

Seminar presentation
Highlighting the relationship between the university and the socio-economic sector makes it possible to develop an understanding of the outcomes of university scientific research. Indeed, the observed accumulation of research results at the universities and research centers, particularly from theses and research projects. However, little available information on these results concretization in the economic field. This unavailability is due, in part, to the absence of meetings between the two actors; research institutions and the bio-industrial sector.
In Algeria, the bioindustry is very varied, characterized by an upward progression. Thus, diverse activities energy this sector; pharmaceutical, para-pharmaceutical, agro-food production, and waste management. All these activities are closely related to the health and food security of the citizen or the need to pool efforts to ensure their sustainability.
The production of living things generates an overwhelming amount of information that complicates the instantaneous management of this data. Using bioinformatics is a more than essential means to effectively analyze this flow of information and therefore make its management very fluid. Using this tool by the mentioned sectors allows both to provide quick and reliable answers.
This seminar is a meeting event for the partners concerned and an opportunity to discuss the mechanisms allowing the evaluation of the research usefulness, developed by the research institutions, for the industrial and economic sector and to seek strategies for the valorization of the results, already existing, by the said sector.
The exploitation of biotechnology research results by bioindustry is a promising approach to boost the economic machine on the one hand and to encourage the research, considered by both parties, on the other.
Besides, the main objective of this event is to bring together active elements in the scientific research fields and industry to develop mechanisms that make it possible to make usable or marketable the results and skills of university research in the biotechnology sector and that university research has a real socio-economic impact.
