Biotechnology is represented by all the technologies and applications involving; the use or modification of living materials for scientific research, to increase human knowledge, or for commercial purposes to create a product or service. Among the different branches of biotechnology, microbial biotechnology is a multidisciplinary field where science and technology coexist. The Microbial Biotechnology license aims to acquire fundamental, methodological, and experimental knowledge in the Applied Life Sciences domain. This training is motivated by the importance of Applied Biology as well as its multidisciplinary which encompasses many fields (fundamental, medical, environment, industrial, agronomic, etc.). This training will thus cover the various fundamental applied aspects of biological engineering and bioprocesses to enable the student to meet the needs of the different economic sectors, especially in the Constantine region, which contains several Bio-industry companies destined to become the pole of biotechnology in Algeria par excellence. The provided theoretical and practical lessons will allow graduate students in Microbial Biotechnology: to be directly operational in the laboratories of analyses and quality control (water, food, health, etc.) or the production sectors (medicines, dairy products, derivatives, yeasts, etc.) and enter directly into working life. to pursue studies within the framework of a professional Master's degree in the various applied biology fields (health, agronomy, bio-industry, and biotechnology).
Graduates of this License will have the opportunity to move into promising professional environments, namely: Pharmaceuticals (drug control); Drinking water supply companies (water analysis); Management in local authorities' health and safety departments; Fraud departments; The agri-food sector (canning, beverages, cereal products, confectionery, ice cream, meat and derivatives, etc.).
